The YMA began their existence with mail art. The York Mail Art network was a term coined to identify a group  artists involved in a dialogue using mail art as its messenger. The YMA invited members of the York Mail Art network to submit mail art to an address where it would later be exhibited.  For a piece of work to be shown in the exhibition, it must be mail art; and for a piece of work to be mail art, it must have been sent and received through the postal system.  For more information on the House exhibition, or to view the full catalogue, click here.

Whether you are a mail art veteran or virgin, the YMA are waiting to here from you.
